The silnoda/ammikal is a quality product. Its made of stone as claimed by the manufacturer. When the product is wet it is black colour or and when its dry the product turns to grey colour this is the quality of the grinding stone. The ammikal is sharp on grinds the wet/dry masala in almost one go.I am happy with the product.Make sure to grind waste masala 4-5 times before using it for actual cooking. As there will be some stone powders coming out of it. So my advice is to wash it 5-6 times thoroughly and grind waste masala to avoid stone powders.
